Leave a legacy

Our aim is to enable visually impaired people to maintain their independence.
Sight Advice relies greatly on donations made through legacies and leaving a legacy to Sight Advice would support many visually impaired people in the South Lakes.

It is essential that everyone makes a will to ensure their specific wishes are carried out and it also reduces unnecessary heartache for loved ones.  Legacies to a charity are completely free of inheritance tax.  Your solicitor or accountant will be pleased to advise you, or Sight Advice can put you in touch with an independent solicitor if you wish.

You may like to leave a gift for a specific purpose, for example a special piece of equipment such as a text reader or help with transport and other running costs.

If you decide to make a contribution to Sight Advice in your will, please let us know.  It will ensure that we are aware of your wishes and can thank you on behalf of the many people who in the future will benefit from your generosity.
